Kavit Billing – Terms of Service & Privacy Policy (Beta)

By using Kavit Billing (web or app), you agree to these Terms.

PART A – TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Introduction

These Terms govern your access to and use of Kavit Billing (“Kavit”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. These Terms are governed by the laws of India and courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

2. Beta / Early Access Disclaimer

  • Kavit Billing is offered as a Beta / Early Access product.
  • Features may be incomplete, experimental, or subject to change.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation during the Beta phase.
  • Any current or announced feature may be modified, delayed, or discontinued.

3. Nature of the Service (Important)

Kavit Billing is a software tool intended to assist businesses with invoicing, inventory, customer/supplier records, and reports. Kavit Billing is not a Chartered Accountant (CA), tax consultant, or legal advisor. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or statutory compliance of GST calculations, reports, or documents generated using the platform. You are solely responsible for verifying correctness and ensuring compliance before any use or filing.

4. User Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate business information and verify outputs before use.
  • Maintain independent backups of critical business data.
  • Keep login credentials secure and confidential.

5. Availability & Changes

During Beta, we may change, suspend, or discontinue features; perform maintenance; and migrate or restructure data to improve stability. No SLA or uptime guarantee is provided during Beta.

6. Suspension & Termination

Kavit may suspend or terminate Beta access at any time (with or without notice) in case of misuse, abuse, security risk, or operational reasons.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kavit shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or business losses including loss of profits, customers, goodwill, or data. Kavit’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user to Kavit in the last 3 months, or ₹1,000 — whichever is lower.

8. Pricing, Subscription & Refunds

  • Subscription validity begins on the date of purchase for the chosen duration.
  • Pricing may change for future subscriptions.
  • Licenses are not auto-renewed; renewal is manual.
  • Refunds: full refund if requested within 1 day of purchase via email. Convenience/processing fees (if any) are non-refundable. Refund policy applies only to subscriptions of one year or longer.

9. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Kavit Billing after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

PART B – PRIVACY POLICY

10. Data Ownership

You own the business data you create or store. You grant Kavit a limited license to store and process your data only to provide and improve the Service.

11. Data We Collect

  • Business profile details you provide
  • Invoices, items, inventory/stock records, customer/supplier records
  • Basic usage logs for diagnostics and service improvement

12. Permissions (Minimal & Purpose-Limited)

  • Camera: to scan or upload bills/invoices/documents
  • Storage: to generate/download PDFs and store uploaded files
  • Contacts (optional): to help select customers/suppliers from your device
  • Location (optional): used only to assist with GST/state configuration; not tracked in background

Kavit Billing does not read personal SMS/OTPs, access call logs, track installed apps, or collect IMEI/serial numbers.

13. Data Security

We use reasonable, industry-standard safeguards. However, no system is fully secure. We are not responsible for breaches beyond reasonable control (e.g., third-party failures, user negligence, or force majeure). Users should keep independent backups.

14. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain account and business data while your account is active. On deletion requests, we will delete data subject to legal, audit, and fraud-prevention requirements.
